I finally finished DAWNTRAIL!

After a very long journey, I’m finally back. My name is Noriko.

Now that I’ve completed DAWNTRAIL, I’d like to write down my thoughts and gratitude.

From here onwards there are major spoilers!

If you haven’t completed DAWNTRAIL yet, do not read any further!

Definitely don’t read this from here!

Before I go on and on, if I were to sum up my impressions of this trip in one sentence, it would be:

It was the best summer vacation ever!

I think that’s all there is to it.

It was really fun. Of course there were many hard times, but it was a fun trip.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to the development team for allowing me to take on such a wonderful journey.

To be honest, I was a little scared before DAWNTRAIL started.

We went on such an epic journey with Shadowbringers and Endwalker, and even ventured into space. Will there be even more adventures in the future? Will there be anything more moving than that? Will the story-driven FF14 be able to continue properly in the future? Will it end up losing momentum…?

Because I love this world so much, I was so scared that it would come to an end.

I wonder if this other world I live in will disappear…

But, that was all just an unnecessary worry.

Of course, it’s not the kind of emotional finale that Endwalker was, but how can I put it, when this DAWNTRAIL ended, I thought,

Ah, another new adventure has begun.

It’s an exciting feeling. (Even though one story has ended!)

Ah, the adventure continues. The world we live in, FF14, is not over yet.

I think the feeling of security and relief was great.

That was really good, I felt relieved.

FF14 was definitely FF14.

Even so, DAWNTRAIL had an incredible volume.

At first, I thought I could finish it in about a week because I remembered that my brother had completed Endwalker in about 10 days.

But it took more than three weeks. It was a really long and fulfilling journey.

I wasn’t slacking off on my adventure. Well, I did all the side quests at the same time. I was traveling around the world, enjoying every corner of it. But even though I was pretty focused and rushed, it took me more than three weeks.

It was a really, really long summer vacation. It was a wonderful summer vacation.

Well, the graphics update this time also had a big impact, as it makes the world incredibly beautiful.

Because wherever I go, I want to explore.

The grass, flowers, water, and metal are all incredibly beautiful. They are so beautiful it’s surprising.

Wherever I went, my feet would stop moving, and I didn’t want to use a mount to move around, so I tried to walk as much as possible. I was looking around a lot while traveling. I might have looked a bit suspicious. (laughs)

However, you see, thanks to the graphics update, my face has changed a bit, so it took me about 10 hours to start my adventure. (laughs)

It’s probably just a small difference, but I was bothered by the fact that my face looked different than it had before, so I tried plastic surgery using my first Fantasia drug. Four times (!).

But in the end, I decided to return everything to its original form… I just made the skin color a little darker.

I guess the colors are more pronounced now. The lighter colors are lighter, and the darker colors are darker. My skin was too light and looked unhealthy, so I made it a little darker to make it look healthier. (laughs)

I also feel like the impression of smiling facial expressions has changed quite a bit, so I think I need to do some more research on this.

My favorite “Big Grin” has turned into a slightly malicious grin, so I need to think of a different way to laugh. Smiling is important!

Anyway, it was a really wonderful adventure.

Once again, I learned a lot this time.

During Endwalker, the journey made me constantly think about what the meaning of life is.

I think what I learned from this trip was the need to love people.

Of course, the influence of Wuk Lamat, who traveled with me, was huge.

For the world to be truly peaceful and calm, and for everyone to be smiling, all we need is for everyone to love each other.

It’s a simple thing. If we could truly love the people around us, and if that chain of events spread all over the world, then no one would fight, and peace would surely prevail.

However, although it seems possible, it is actually quite difficult. That is why the world will never be at peace.

But we can make an effort.

Make an effort to like people.

It starts with getting to know the other person well.

Therefore, we must first take action to get to know the other person better.

As we go through life, we tend to forget such simple and obvious things.

FF14 has taught us this once again.

Wuk Lamat is amazing.

I thought this was the kind of person a true leader should be.

She tries to like everyone, she loves everyone with all her heart, and honestly relies on others to make up for her own shortcomings.

A joint monarchy is a good thing.

With this system, they can complement each other’s shortcomings.

I’m sure Wuk Lamat and Koana will be able to successfully make Triayola a better country.

And being a “martial king” isn’t just about fighting, is it? Just like King Gulool Ja Ja, “martial” also means being kind as a person.

I really enjoyed this trip, especially the first half.

It’s relaxing, there are beautiful views and nice people.

I feel like I’ve grown as a person together with Wuk Lamat and the others.

It may have been a “succession ceremony” for King Tuliyollal, but I believe I learned a lot from it.

It was a wonderful project by King Gulool Ja Ja. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

There were a lot of sad things in the second half, but it was still a good trip.

The second half is always really heavy and dark, isn’t it?

Both Shadowbringers and Endwalker are extremely heavy and the areas are dark.

However, this time there were many relatively bright spots, and there were smiles until the end.

It was a really good trip.

We had seen sneak peeks of Solution Nine in PLL and, to be honest, I was a bit worried.

Suddenly cyberpunk?

Won’t this worldview collapse? Will my brain be able to keep up?

I was worried, but it turned out to be a completely unfounded worry. I see, so that’s how it was all connected.

Also, I felt relieved to see that the “reflections of the source,” which had not yet been clarified in our adventures up to that point, were connected in this way.

Apparently the story is connected properly.

Maybe I was worrying too much. (laughs)

Now, I wonder what kind of adventures will follow.

I don’t know how long FF14 will last, but I want to keep adventuring here forever.

One day I may die first, but I hope that this world will continue on for the next 10, 20, 30 years, or even more than 100 years.

And I hope it will continue to be someone’s “another world to live in.”

This new trip made me think of these things once again.

Thank you so much to the development team for creating such a wonderful world.

I am sincerely grateful.

Thank you for creating a world in which I can live.

I really love this world!

DAWNTRAIL was truly the “best summer vacation.”

thank you very much!
